WHY BCG PRODUCTS

Compared with conventional materials such as glass fibre and plastic, BCG products provide superior performance, significantly reducing environmental impact. BCG products have excellent strength, weight and flexibility specifications and can be recycled or composted.

We create hemp-based composites for automotive interiors and components, which are lighter and more sustainable than conventional materials. This improves fuel efficiency and aligns with the automotive industry's goals towards greener technologies and carbon footprint reduction.

Hemp geotextiles combat weeds, prevent erosion and retain moisture while accelerating vegetation growth. Hemp mats and hurds are used for animal bedding.

Our hemp composites are used for insulation, panels, and decor, providing excellent thermal and acoustic properties while enhancing the building’s energy efficiency and indoor air quality.

APPLICATIONS

BioComposites Group is developing and integrating renewable, bio-based materials as part of a long-term campaign to produce products that leverage the local supply chain and reduce waste. One of the most significant recent developments in sustainability across agriculture, transportation, and construction industries is the movement toward abandoning oil-based plastics in favour of natural materials for soil improvement and interior use.

INSULATION PRODUCTS

Our insulation products are healthy and high-performing, with thermal characteristics that create energy-efficient homes. Our hemp insulation mat is flexible, light, sturdy and eco-friendly. The utility board can be used in modular spaces or furniture redesign. These products possess excellent thermic and acoustic isolation properties while creating healthier living spaces.

Automotive

CARBON NEUTRAL COMPONENTS

We support OEMs with interior components made from hemp and stabilized with bio-resins or PP alternatives. Our automotive panels are used in door panels, rear package trays, load floors, instrument panels, centre consoles, pillars, seat backs, spare tire covers, and door bolsters.

Beaver Lodge Bike Park

INSTALLATION METHOD - Cut invasive weed down to 1 inch, then top soiled on top of weeds. Installed matting on top of top soil and around already existing native plants. Planted a variety of other native plant species into top soil.

Parks Canada – Erosion

Banff, Alberta

INSTALLATION METHOD – Compacted soil was broken up and amended with different nutrients. Erosion control blanket was then installed and secured with biodegradable wooden stakes.
